ACTION ALERT: CALL ALBANY NOW!

Sisters and Brothers:

We’re ramping up our efforts to stop Governor Cuomo’s 40%
pension cut plan. The most important thing you can do to help
is call your Assemblymember today and tell them to vote no on
Tier 6, the 40% pension-cutting scheme.

Together we can flood their phone lines and show them the
strength of our voices. You can reach your local officials
directly by calling toll-free at (877) 823-4343.

Our campaign is heating up. This past weekend in Buffalo,
public service workers rallied and went door-to-door to explain
how Tier 6 undermines retirement security. We also rallied in
New York City’s Zuccotti Park to demand that Wall Street pay
its fair share.

This week we are introducing “1%”, a giant inflatable pig, to
take our message to the Capitol lawn and across the state.

We need you to call your Assemblymember today at
877-823-4343 and add your voice to thousands of members
across the state who are saying NO to Tier 6. It rewards the
1% by turning over taxpayer funds and billions in fees to the
same big Wall Street firms that crashed the economy in the
first place. We need real retirement security.

Again, it is critical that you call your Assemblymember today.
Please call now at 877-823-4343 and say no to Tier 6.

Thank you,

AFSCME NY

P.S. After calling your Assemblymember, can you take 5 minutes
to write a letter to the editor of your hometown paper?
