East Irondequoit, N.Y.-- On February 24th, East Irondequoit School District Unit 7416 held a membership meeting at 3:00 pm. Attendance at the meeting was almost perfect, as workers draw closer together in solidarity during these tough fiscal times.

CSEA Local 828 President Bess Watts reports, "When I spoke to the members, I handed out CSEA talking points on Schools & Libraries and how the Cuomo budget will affect their workplace. We also talked about pensions and the Tribourough Amendment. Gino Sciortino and the Unit officers here at East Irondequoit School District are doing a great job of representation and informing their members about our noteworthy union issues. It was really a great meeting and I am proud of the work they are doing."

At the afternoon meeting, members appointed a new secretary, Ron Guidice (pictured far right in above photo). Additionally, CSEA Local 828 Unit 7416 member Tom Mitchell accepted the alternate-delegate position with CSEA Monroe County Local 828.  Guidice was selected by president Watts and approved by the Local Executive Board at an earlier meeting.
